We at Stanley Smallcraft are offering a range of DIY plans with full size patterns, and plywood kits for those looking to build their own boat and we even offer complete custom built boats where we can design and build a small range of dinghies and canoes for you at our base in Corby, Northamptonshire. Think about it, if you buy one of our kits you could be on the water in just a few weeks!
Our full boat services include:
- DIY Build Plans from £10 – All plans come with a materials list, full step-by-step instructions and advice on plywood types, wood and epoxy. You can get either digital downloadable plans, printed A3 workshop plans or in full size patterns with build plans.
- DIY Kits from £185 – You can choose from either our Plywood Only Kits where all the plywood hull parts are cut out on a CNC machine for accuracy and quality ready for assembly, or our Full Plywood/Epoxy Kits where as well as the same service as the other, the epoxy materials are provided to stick it all together. Full build instruction manuals are included.
- Custom Built Boats from £375 – You choose the design, colours etc and we will build your boat for you. We can even build other designers’ boats too, with their permission of course. All the hull parts will be CNC cut.
- Build With Us from £375 – If you have no space to build your own boat or if you find it a bit daunting building one on your own then you can come in and build one with us at our base. We also hold Dinghy and Canoe Workshop Courses throughout the year.
We can now build dinghies and canoes throughout the year. We able to build to any quantity or design that you desire, all we need are the details and an approximate finish date. If you would like to buy one then you can wait till it is finished or you can secure one with a deposit and then if you would like, you could change the colour or add other changes.
Then again, you can build your own boat with one of our kits! If you work on it for just a few hours a day, you could complete a dinghy or canoe in 1 to 5 weeks with our plans or kits. Our plans are very easy to understand and depending on which kit you get, you can get the materials all prepared for you – perfect! They are perfect for newbie boat builders as well more experienced ones.
