K.G McColl & Company Ltd
Kilmelford Yacht haven is situated in a stunning location at the head of Loch Melfort. A beautiful place with fantastic views and sites to explore both on and off the water.
The bay itself offers a sheltered area in which to moor your vessel. It is an ideal base to explore the beautiful west coast. We have a myriad of small islands and inlets to visit within a short distance of the yacht haven for day sailing. There are a number of things to do around the area too, such as: Arduaine Garden, Kilmartin Museum, Lots of interesting mapped walks, boat trips to the Corryvreckan (whirlpool) to name a few. We also have a community Skiff based at the Yacht Haven, this can be used by visitors, great for adults and children alike.
We are a family run business providing all of your yachting needs. Kilmelford Yacht Haven is home to 55 heavy duty swinging moorings, 8 alongside births for short stays, loading/unloading facilities. The 55 moorings can accommodate vessels up to 60 tons and 20m in length with 8 alongside berths, 3 sturdy yard dinghies for customer use. Diesel, water and power available at pontoons.
Vessels must be moored on the bridle chain and not on the rope. The chain must be put through the bow fitting and must be secured with a retaining pin or rope to the stemhead fitting. Mooring rates include free use of the pier and pontoons, normally for loading and unloading, easy access to diesel and water supplies, 24 hour, 7 day access to toilets, showers and washing facilities, free car parking, locked dinghy compound and public telephone.
Delivery of vessels to pontoons or return to mooring, if required, is charged at £32.00 including V.A.T. For larger vessels or in difficult conditions we reserve the right to charge day work rates.
