Moonfleet Adventure Sailing
We at Moonfleet are offering an adventure of a lifetime aboard our tall ship! Imagine sailing from Portland Marina in Dorset, out into Weymouth Bay and to remarkable destinations along Dorset’s beautiful coastline. We are providing daily trips from Portland Marina so come down and visit us and have a look around in between excursions. Why not treat yourself to a maritime adventure sailing our classic Tall Ship, Moonfleet – you wont regret it!
This is a real opportunity for both novice and sailor to try your hand at sailing a classic Tall Ship around Southern England’s stunning Jurassic Coastline and see the fascinating chalk downlands of The Isle of Purbeck and stone cliffs on The Isle of Portland. For those willing to have a go, our crew will provide an opportunity to try most activities that can be fitted into the short voyage, including weighing anchor, hoisting the mainsail and there will even be a chance to take the helm! Alternatively If you don’t feel very confident at being hands on, then you can simply sit back, watch and enjoy the ride!
We only provide catering by prior arrangement however if it gets a little chilly on deck then will break out the biscuit barrel and provide tea and coffee for the crew – that means you! We do recommend if your voyage is more than a couple of hours, you order a packed lunch with us when you book, or you are more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks.
Also, regardless of the weather forecast, we suggest you bring something warm and dry to wear as we may not be sailing into rough seas, but we do go out to sea!
