Solent Motor Yachts is an independent, family-owned yacht brokerage based at Hamble River Boat Yard in Swanwick, on the South Coast of England. With decades of experience and an in-depth knowledge of the boating market, our dedicated team provides a highly personal, comprehensive service for both buyers and sellers.

We take the time to understand every client’s requirements, offering tailored advice and support throughout the buying and selling process. For sellers, our focused marketing and extensive industry knowledge help maximise exposure and achieve the best possible result. For buyers, we offer expert guidance and access to a diverse selection of quality boats, from RIBs, bow riders and ski boats to flybridge cruisers, sports boats, sailing yachts and luxury motor yachts.

As an official Azimut Yachts dealer, Solent Motor Yachts is proud to offer the full range of new Azimut models, from 45ft through to 35 metres. Alongside our new yacht offering, our extensive brokerage portfolio provides a wide choice of brands, sizes, ages and styles. We can also source specific boats to meet individual requirements and are able to purchase boats directly.

Director Derek Vaughan-Smith has been sailing and working with boats on the South Coast since 1997, bringing extensive local knowledge and experience to every client relationship. His expertise, combined with our ABYA-trained team, has helped establish a strong base of loyal customers and a thriving repeat-client business.

We understand that purchasing a boat is just the beginning of the ownership journey. Our team can support you throughout ownership with a comprehensive range of services, including engineering, electronics, valeting, GRP repairs, shipwright work, antifouling, bow thruster and generator installation, customised canopies, tuition, insurance, finance and registration. We also work with trusted structural and mechanical surveyors.

Our Hamble River Boat Yard location provides on-site berthing and storage facilities, making it easier to manage your boat and its ongoing maintenance.
